How to use a multi-meter to measure the wattage of solar panels?

1

Small-power solar panels can be measured by multi-meter, but high-power of solar panels can not use multi-meters to measure.

1. The photovoltaic cell is placed under the light source of 100mW/ C ㎡, and the output voltage value measured at both ends of the photovoltaic cell is open. When use the DC voltage range of the multi-meter, the red stylus is connected to the positive pole of the solar panel, and the black stylus is connected to the negative pole of the solar panel.

2. Short-circuit current: Short circuit refers to the photovoltaic cell in the standard light source under the irradiation, in the output short circuit through the photovoltaic cell at both ends of the current. The general method of measuring short-circuit current is to use an ammeter with internal resistance less than 1 ohms to be measured at both ends of the photovoltaic cell; With the dc current multi-meter, the red pen is connected to the positive solar panel, and the black pen is connected to the negative panel.

3. Calculation: Actual output power (Pm) : Actual output operating voltage (Vpm) &TImes; Actual output operating current (Ipm).
