MITSCN General Manager Kevin Visits Yoma Group and Yoma Micro Power in Yangon to Explore Solar & Energy Storage Cooperation
Yangon, Myanmar — [11.2025] —
Beijing MITSCN Co., Ltd. (“MITSCN”), a global provider of solar photovoltaic and energy storage solutions, today announced that its General Manager, Kevin, visited Yoma Group and Yoma Micro Power in Yangon to discuss opportunities for collaboration in solar PV generation and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
During the visit, Mr. Kevin and senior representatives from Yoma Group held in-depth discussions with the technical and project teams of Yoma Micro Power (YMP), focusing on project experience, technology integration, local implementation challenges, and potential joint initiatives. The MITSCN delegation toured Yoma Group’s operational sites, including grid-tied solar installations and off-grid / hybrid solar + storage systems implemented by YMP, where YMP’s CTO provided a detailed technical briefing on system design, operation and site performance.

“The visit provided an excellent opportunity to see first-hand how Yoma executes practical solar and hybrid power projects in Myanmar,” said Kevin, General Manager of MITSCN. “We were impressed by the scale and operational maturity of Yoma’s renewable projects and by YMP’s hands-on approach to integrating solar with storage. We look forward to technical collaboration that can help address remaining engineering challenges and enable more reliable, cost-effective deployments.”
About the Host — Yoma Group & Yoma Micro Power (YMP)
Yoma Group is a leading Myanmar conglomerate with diversified businesses across real estate, financial services, automotive & heavy equipment, healthcare, consumer and tourism sectors, and it has an established national presence through its listed subsidiaries. (Yoma Strategic Holdings Ltd.)
Yoma Micro Power (YMP), the Group’s renewable-energy affiliate, focuses on practical solar-hybrid micro power plants, off-grid mini-grids, commercial & industrial rooftop solar, and telecom tower power solutions. YMP has rolled out hundreds of solar-hybrid plants serving rural communities and telecom towers and has been involved in multi-partner initiatives to scale renewables across Myanmar. YMP has previously announced milestones such as the deployment of its 250th solar-hybrid plant and ambitious expansion plans for micro-grids and C&I projects.
YMP and Yoma Strategic have also engaged with international partners and investors to accelerate renewable development in Myanmar, including joint ventures and investment commitments with regional energy firms.

Site Visit and Technical Exchange
On site, MITSCN and YMP reviewed real-world installations — both grid-connected solar arrays and off-grid solar + BESS systems — enabling a practical assessment of equipment layout, control strategies, BMS/EMS integration, and maintenance workflows. YMP’s CTO walked the group through the projects’ technical specifications and operational lessons learned, including hybrid dispatch logic, battery safety protocols, and telemetry/monitoring setups. This hands-on review helped identify specific technical areas where MITSCN’s inverter and BESS capabilities can add value.

Next Steps & Cooperative Outlook
Both parties agreed to continue technical dialogue and to set up a focused working group to evaluate joint pilot projects. The collaboration aims to combine MITSCN’s product and systems expertise (PV modules, hybrid inverters, BMS/EMS-enabled BESS) with Yoma’s strong local execution capability and project footprint, thereby accelerating clean-energy access and commercial deployments across Myanmar.
“We believe that by leveraging MITSCN’s integrated solar + storage solutions together with Yoma’s local project experience and implementation capacity, we can deliver reliable, economically viable energy systems for both grid-connected and off-grid scenarios,” said Kevin.
